James Calvin Ralston

	James Calvin (Bud) Ralston, 70, of DuQuoin, passed away at 4:53 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2001 at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
	 James was a retired T. Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force, serving 23 1/2 years.  He served in the Korean Conflict, Vietnam Conflict and the Berlin Airlift.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was a former member of the VFW and the American Legion.
	He was born August 23, 1930 at Cora, Ill. the son of Charley and Lettie (Phillips) Ralston.  He was first married to Iris Brook.  He then married June George on December 29, 1976 at DuQuoin and she survives.
	 He is survived by his wife of DuQuoin; four children, Glen Ralston of Washington, D.C., Dean Ralston of DuQuoin, Carla Pestka of College Park, Md. and Donna McGovern and husband Larry of Silver Spring, Md.; step-daughter, Crystal Davison and husband Thomas of Pinckneyville; one brother, Carl Ralston and wife Leta of South Houston, Tex.; two sisters, Ruth Morrison of Friendswood, Tex. and Opal Wayer and husband Alfred of DuQuoin; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter and one grandson.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
	Full military graveside rites were conducted by Scott Air Force Base.
	 Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association.
